On Monday, February 26,2024, the WHTA Board of Directors had a conference call to discuss a revised process for the Horse of the Year Awards. The 2024 WHTA Horse of the Year Awards will be calculated as follows:

Qualifications for WHTA Horse of the Year
1. Winners at the 2024 Celebration are automatically nominated for Horse of the Year.
2. All SHOWS will be qualifying shows and points will be assigned from 1-10 with 10 points representing the winner.

1. By using the High Point System the remaining nominees in each category will be listed to fill out the top ten for online voting.

2. There will be a "write in" section to include the following:
a. Performance Trainer of the Year
b. Pleasure Trainer of the Year
c. Assistant Performance Trainer of the Year
d. Assistant Pleasure Trainer of the Year
e. Groom of the Year
f. Performance Amateur of the Year
g. Pleasure Amateur of the Year
h. Performance Youth of the Year
i. Pleasure Youth of the Year
j. One Night Show of the Year
k. Multi-Night Show of the Year

3. The Board approved for the Horse of the Year Awards to return to the Online voting process and the Report will calculate the top 10 nominations in each category to be voted on.
