WHOA announces Charles B. Howard Memorial Scholarship recipients

Following the death of Charlie Howard in 2019 a fund was established through the Walking Horse Owners Association to honor his memory by helping young people through continuing education.

Congratulations to each of the 2024 recipients of a $500 scholarship from the Charles B. Howard Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' & Exhibitors' Association (TWHBEA) is excited to announce a new initiative to support the “Pick Your Partner” classes at the upcoming United Walking Horse Fall Finale in Tunica, Mississippi. TWHBEA will match up to $5,000 of the donations raised for the "Pick Your Partner" classes, which will benefit the Foundation for the Advancement and Support of the Tennessee Walking Show Horse (FAST). TWHNC and USDA oppose HSUS intervention in Rulemaking lawsuit
The Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration with Kimberly Lewis and Tom Gould filed a motion on November 4th opposing HSUS’ attempt at intervention in the rulemaking case in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Previously the HSUS had filed a motion with the court asking to be allowed to intervene in the case. Read More
