Equine Obituary – Air Force

The Walking Horse Report has learned of the passing of Reserve World Champion Air Force. By The Skywatch and out of Queen Of Motown, Air Force was born March 20, 2007, and was part of the Diana Popp breeding program. This same sire and dam combination had produced World Grand Champion The Coach just three seasons prior.

Luka and Jonathan Bowman’s barn damaged by storm

Many of us know Luka Bowman as Photos by Luka. She is behind the camera at many of our shows throughout Kentucky and Tennessee. However, when she isn’t taking pictures of our walking horse contenders, she and her husband Jonathan are showing on the Kentucky Mountain Horse Association circuit.

TWHBEA holds semi-annual meetings

The Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders’ & Exhibitors’ Association (TWHBEA) held its semi-annual International Board of Director’s meeting on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at its headquarters in Lewisburg. The Executive Committee met the day before, as did many of the committees represented by the TWHBEA Vice Presidents.

Rachel Reed, the well-known secretary/treasurer for S.H.O.W. HIO, is the proud mom of Shelbyville Central High School Class of 2024 Valedictorian, Zoe Grace Reed. You may have seen Zoe at shows from time-to-time helping out with paperwork in the inspection area at S.H.O.W. affiliated events to assist her mom.

Pick Your Partner classes at Spring Fun Show

On Friday, May 24 and Saturday, May 25, 2024, the 54th Annual Spring Fun Show will feature the popular “Pick Your Partner” classes. The Pleasure class will be class 39 on Friday night and the Performance class will be class 63 on Saturday night.
